THE APERTURE PROJECT
A new full dive VR Game appeared on the market, drawing massive attention. With currency being 1 to 1 with real life, some people moved their work lives to the game, with the promise of riches to those that gain control of worlds and sectors. However the stakes were high, with most deaths locking you out from playing for a week along with a level drop, one could easily lose their edge and advantage. In some cases death meant being locked out of the game indefinitely. Of course, there are many worlds inside Aperture, and among the top worlds, there were was to purchase your resurrection, but at what cost?
Behind closed doors, the game is part of a control mechanism for those with gifted abilities, kept in secure facilities out of the reach of earth. The game gave these few, selective, limited freedom; causing them to not think too hard about how to, or if they should escape their imprisonment and isolation. The only surviving subject of the original human aperture project Number #3122, the 31st test subject using batch 22 of advancement serum. Was the first to experience the control measure Aperture 2.193.12, or more commonly known as the game Aperture. With his ability to communicate with all forms of technology, his mind was input into the framework of the world, causing the software and programming, the base of the world to be linked to him. After noticing #3122 had too much freedom and would soon branch out from the aperture world, the group behind the project imposed limitations taking away the control of the code and sealing it into the game world itself, while removing the memories of creation from him. With what remained of #3122's administration control, he started to be dubbed The Architect, as he continued to build inside of the world on top of his own framework, without even knowing. After 2 years, thousands of years had passed inside of the program and the resulting world was so advanced, it had passed the advancement of humanity, having created the arcane with tech so advanced it would take humanity hundreds of years to catch up. The group behind the project now dubbed (TERRA-FORM), noticed the opportunity and took control the world, adjusting it until it could hide the fragments of control that had been hidden in it in the first place, sealing #3122 into his original plane without his memory and connection to the original framework. After optimizing the world and splitting it into pockets or dimensions separating the different ages of advancement, and sealing all the human aperture projects into their own worlds, they released it to earth as a game to gather further funds for research. Not understanding the capabilities of the 'NPC' and the human 'players' introduced. Leading Tech companies took large shares in the game, and a lot fo the control TERA-FORM had was lost and the game continued to grow, causing changes and openings in TERA-FORM's perfect system and secure control cages for the human project captives.
As Players grew and the powers inside the world shifted, the 'NPC' continued to grow, taking pack partial control of the system, and self advancing the game to give players more endless content. Eventually, the main NPC in charge of the world's designations noticed the sealed worlds holding the human project's subjects, and released the seals, believing it was more content to release.
